Now rated by content!
Ehh, I don't think I'm terribly good at rating things, so if you want to contest your rating, just tell me what you think it should be. ^^ And by "I don't think I'm terribly good" I mean I honestly suck at this.

G/PG
some or no mild swearing/violence or strange themes, generally wholesome (not enough comics are G-rated to justify a whole category ~_~;)

Fate Martyr Sapheire Favorite character: Wyleri
An ancient prophecy predicted the fall of the Ki-Leihnan. Now fate is drawing together an unlikely group of souls that may fulfill the prophecy -- or break it. Alice sets a high standard for webcomics with her wonderful pencil art.
Litost Satellite Favorite character: Sharky
Life in Canada, with a twist. Follow the lives of the unfortunate and the unhappy in this touching, beautifully stylized story from Jazriot.
Lovarian Adventures Favorite character: Helix, Sarren, Mazahir
Swords, sorcery, and a great conspiracy. Will this band of intrepid adventurers be able to stop what's going on around them? Read the comic for a bit and you'll understand why almost every one of the characters has an impromptu fanclub.
the Place InBetween Favorite character: Kyle, Kei
Two new guests have come to live in Kailey's house -- the only question is why, and what does it have to do with a vast conspiracy? With its addictive, highly adorable art and interesting premise, this one's sure to keep you coming back.
Chibi Alex-chan's Manga Favorite character: none
Previously featured Child of the Pomegranate, a story about a girl who came from a pomegranate. Currently features Haato no Kagami. Simple art, endearing storytelling.
Jeremy
A touching story about a boy with a heart of gold and a body of criminal corpse parts...
the Misadventures of the Drow Wizard Favorite character: Lym'ree, Tarolin, any other guy Heather draws...
Lym'ree was supposed to be a girl. Why? Because in drow society, girls rule. Literally.

PG-13
more violence and swearing and strange themes

FlipSide Favorite character: Lucient
Meet Maytag. She's a female jester who does a complete personality flip when in costume. Meet Bernadette, her lady fighter friend. Now throw in some sorcerers, fighters, assassins, and solid manga art. You can't miss with this combo!
Kung Fool Favorite character: Chen
May never intended to go into acting, but she landed a role in the pilot of a new kung-fu action TV series. Now she has to learn the moves and tyr to deal with her over-exuberant roommate. Flash comic!
Litost Satellite Favorite character: Sharky
Life in Canada, with a twist. Follow the lives of the unfortunate and the unhappy in this touching, beautifully stylized story from Jazriot.
Sketch of Love Favorite character: none
Sketch of Love has recently restarted as a Flash comic, and it's better than ever! There's something strange going on in town, and it looks like it's up to the vampire Jacques and his werewolf friend to figure it out. Then there's Jordan...
Odd Jobs
If the idea of a truly "graphic" comic appeals to you, this is the place to find one. Odd Jobs is a trendy, futuristic detective mystery with a gritty feel and compelling story. Tim Broderick is a master of the suspense genre.

R/MA
sex, violence, major swearing, other adult themes

Chronicle of a Drow Sorceress Favorite character: none
Ariel is a drow elf who doesn't conform properly to her society, and what a cruel society it is.
Drowlings Favorite character: Deven!
Deven's cool Drow manga! A drow slave (Deven, eh heh ^^) has survived long enough to begin a special drow trial into adulthood. The only question is whether or not he'll survive.
Hengeyokai
Vampires, snow fae, and great Ina art... I only know that because I know Inazuma, though. I'm not old enough to read it. If you are and enjoy the kind of story Ina does, then by all means, go read it! Inazuma is an incredible artist. And if your not of age (like me), just hang around Kern's Oekaki to see some of Ina's stuff.
When I Am King
See, there's this guy, he's king, and he has a really bad day. Why is this so bizarre? Well, let's start with the fact he loses his clothes and then move on to mention the lovesick camel...
Chopping Block
Serial killer humor. Obviously, potentially offensive to a lot of people out there, but it's pure genius.
Tei & Riki
This is a wonderful story, but it's really, really serious. Very teen angsty. Gets close to a lot of risky subjects, but provocative comics are good in a way, aren't they? And look at the pretty screentonnnnnnes!!!
Thrilled
This is actually a small collection of comics. They all have one thing in common -- they're absolutely demented and fantastic. Let me stress both those points. Demented. Fantastic. Be sure to read Trepanation.

Comic I'm still working on sticking above: (help appreciated)
Chiga & Kaput - A girl, her dragon, and their story. A gorgeous pencil comic (a la Fate Martyr Sapheire) that's just starting, so get in on the ground floor!
the Circle Weave - Extremely high-quality fantasy Flash action. Definitely not one to be missed.
Dedos - There once was an elf who didn't hate the humans as much as the other elves. Follow his strange adventure as he tries to decide his place in the world.
the Demon Pooka - A slightly bizarre comic about some... people. I use the term loosely. I suppose you could call it a vaguely religious comedy? Or anti-religious comedy? Um, it's a comedy.
Dragonboy - This hilarious little gem stars a boy who's part dragon. Kept me laughing all the way through the comic archives!
Eat the Roses - Manga-style spy intrigue, with some romance and a good dose of drama thrown in for good measure.
Honou to Hyoushou - A group of beings almost beyond explanation have assembled... in the form of a Japanese Pop band. Infrequent updates, unfortunately, since the art is superb.
Lazarus Jewelbox - I love Etoile's style. She's just amazing. And a very cool person. ^^ Though, of course, her personal coolness has nothing to do with the coolness of her comic...
Karma Slave - Kuruma has been given the task of deciding a young girl's fate... And he actually listens to what she tells him to do! Funny, smart, this comic's got it all! Someone tell Lyn her art is great! It's got real style and spirit.
Unicorn Jelly - It's touching and a bit odd, but in a good way. Mostly. The art is very unique, and Jennifer spends a lot of time and energy on making this a very, very special webcomic.
Upperlack - Relia's style is legendary among those who know her in rpg circles, and now she's turned her skills towards a webcomic!

No updates in/for a while:
Dancing for the Stars
- Grainne Edwards comes from a family known for weak magic. Hoping to prove herself, she enters into Darian Tower, a school of magic -- but will she even be able to cast a single spell? Too bad this one's going on hiatus for a year. ;(
WindGate
- Vanille is off to magic school, it seems, though there are a few bumps in the road! Truly one of the prettiest online comics I've ever seen. I really look forward to seeing more.
SunDowner
- Join a crew of unlikely space pirates as they try to avoid getting killed -- and maybe earn a few bucks while they're at it. Updates infrequently, but it's worth the wait!
